Terms of use
Last updated 4 October 2026.
Squad helps people find others to play sport with, and then meet up in person. That only works if people treat each other well. By signing in to Squad you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The short version. You must be 16 or over. Be honest about who you are, be decent to the people you play with, and turn up when you say you will. Harassment, hate, threats, sexual content and spam are not allowed. We remove accounts that break these rules.
Who can use Squad
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- One account per person, in your own name. Do not pretend to be someone else.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account.
What is not allowed
This applies to everything you put into Squad: your profile, your photo, the games you post, and the messages you send in game chats.
- Harassing, bullying, threatening or intimidating anyone.
- Hate speech, or attacking anyone for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Sexual or nude content, or using Squad to look for dates or sexual contact.
- Violent or graphic content.
- Sharing someone else's personal information without their permission.
- Spam, advertising, scams, or asking players for money outside the game's stated cost.
- Posting fake games, or games you have no intention of turning up to.
- Anything illegal, or encouraging others to do something illegal or dangerous.
Reporting and blocking
If someone breaks these rules, report them: open the game, find the player and tap Report or block. Blocking someone hides their details from you, and you can undo it in your profile. We review reports and act on them. If something is urgent, email support@squadsportsclub.com as well.
What we do when the rules are broken
We can remove content, and suspend or delete accounts, that break these terms, with or without warning depending on how serious it is. Where someone may be in danger, we may pass information to the police.
Meeting people in person
Squad helps you find a game. It does not organise, supervise or insure it. Games are arranged by the players themselves, and you take part at your own risk. Meet in public places, play within your fitness and ability, and follow the rules of the venue. Any money for a court or a pitch is between you and the host.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to other Squad users, which is what the app is for. You can delete your account at any time from Profile, and how we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
The service
Squad is free, and we provide it as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for what happens at games arranged through it, as far as the law allows. We may change or stop features over time.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app. The date at the top always shows the last change.
